Safety valves for refrigeration and air conditioning systems

In order to protect HVAC systems, and in addition to refrigeration charging valves, Schrader Pacific Advanced Valves offers a range of safety valves called Pressure Relief Valves or relief valves

These refrigeration discharging valves are calibrated to open at a very specific pressure and can also close at a set pressure.

They can be used to depressurize a system in the event of overpressure and/or on request thanks to a current pulse.

Pressure relief valve or burst disc?

Pressure relief valves have several advantages over burst disc technology.

Indeed, our pressure relief valves are not sensitive to pressure cycling. This means that they will open at the required pressure and not because they have been weakened by pressure variations.

In addition, our pressure relief valves can be closed again if the customer desires, and therefore evacuate only excess pressure. In this case, the system remains operational. Finally, given the increasing obligations to minimize greenhouse gas emissions, pressure relief valves offered by Schrader Pacfic Advanced Valves optimize the amount of refrigerant released into the atmosphere.
